4. Tour a Lovely London Victorian Updated With Color and Pattern
After moving into their Victorian London home, this couple in their 30s needed help adding color, storage and features for entertaining guests. Not knowing where to begin, they searched Houzz for help. A Houzz concierge — part of the Live Connections feature available to Houzz Pro members — matched their project needs to, and connected them with, designer Josephine Lecoufle-Vinet.
Lecoufle-Vinet brought in warm blues and greens to add bold color without veering too cold. In the kitchen, new cabinets add storage and style, while a short peninsula jutting from a bank of navy blue cabinets creates an intimate breakfast area and a spot for guests to gather around during parties. Lively patterned floor tile perks up the vibe.

3. Tour a Casual California Home Made for Entertaining
This empty-nest couple in Marin County, California, wanted their home to be the spot where everyone wanted to hang out — their college-age kids, their friends and their kids’ friends. To transform the classic cottage into an entertainer’s dream, the couple put together a remodeling team that included designer Jennifer Messina.
Messina, who used Houzz Pro software to manage the project, created welcoming interiors that look impressive without feeling too buttoned-up. Dark wood flooring, high ceilings and lots of windows and folding glass doors seamlessly connect indoors and out and establish a lively atmosphere. The couple’s artwork collection adds pops of color and personality throughout the home. A spectacular backyard features zones for everything: swimming, lounging, cooking and dining.

2. Visit a Stylish California Casual Home With Sweeping Ocean Views
To update this closed-off Southern California home, interior designer Andrea Burridge of AXB Interiors took down walls to create an open floor plan between an expanded kitchen and living room. A new wall of sliding glass panels puts the ocean front and center and creates a seamless connection between the interiors and the patio. Multiple skylights flood the home with warm California sunshine. Neutral yet stylish materials and furnishings in beachy tones let the scenery do the talking. A clever extra-long island table can be pulled out to seat 20 guests, who may need to sit down when taking in the stunning views.

1. Step Inside a Fresh Contemporary Home Full of Little Surprises
After finding designer Robin Bryant of Factor Design Build on Houzz, these homeowners asked her to create soft contemporary interiors to juxtapose with the more traditional red brick exterior of their Denver home. Bryant responded with organic modern materials like white oak cabinets, concrete-look countertops and a jaw-dropping focal point island with large slabs of Blue Marine quartzite. She also gave the home a few special moments of discovery. Hexagonal tiles inset in the wood flooring form a directional path from the front entry into a powder room and up the wall. Hidden doors in the primary bedroom open to reveal a private home office sanctuary.

To create durable family-friendly interiors in their Austin, Texas, home, this couple worked with designer Jessica Nelson of Etch Design Group to incorporate natural elements like white oak kitchen cabinets and marble countertops (sealed to be kid-proof).
In the living room, classic midcentury-style furniture pieces and a matte black tile fireplace elevate the look, while a light-colored sectional sofa upholstered in performance fabric creates a kid-friendly lounge area. Elsewhere, fun details like herringbone flooring, colorful artwork and pink grasscloth wallpaper on the home office ceiling help make this an energetic, no-fuss home.
