SAVU LLC
Tile & Stone Contractors Near Me
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsAugust 6, 2019
Vasile was the ideal contractor to hire! He was so polite, professional, clean, not to mention his work was impeccable! I hired him to install a backsplash with a frame and I am SO happy with his work! I am an extremely picky person (especially since I work in the kitchen and look at the tile a lot) and I make sure to tell everyone who visits about my great experience with Vasile. Do yourself a favor and choose him for your next project.
Traditions in Tile

When working on projects, Traditions in Tile in Brier Creek is my first stop. They have a great selection, and Meaghan's knowledge of product and pricing is impressive, as is her responsiveness. She is a valuable team member, and has the respect of many well-known area designers and builders. I once had a problem with tile dye-lots, and she, and Traditions, immediately stepped-up and solved the problem for my client and I. Their quick and kind response just increased our opinion of them. Please look at my Urban Loft project and Bath Suite Renovation to see some of the great tiles Meaghan helped us find. Many thanks, Nicole Baxter, NBaxter Design
Mosaics Lab
Tile & Stone Contractors Near Me
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsMarch 10, 2020
I came across Mosaics Lab through social media and blog. At first, I was hesitant to hire them as the scope of the project was big and expensive. I wanted to have a mosaic design at the bottom of my pool and backsplash. The way Mosaics Lab communicated eliminated all doubts. They were very attentive to my needs. Put me in touch with the artist and send me progress pictures on ongoing bases. I never have seen customer service such as this from any online purchase. I highly recommend them.

We contacted Susan Jablon for our kitchen backsplash update. It is a great company to work with and so very in the know. We were able to format the look from mosaic pattern, tile choice and multiple color glass. So much fun. Install was done by Rock Solid Remodeling. LLC! Could not be happier with the pop'n splash of color in my happy mid-century kitchen.

Julia Good Kruger is an exceptionally talented and integrity filled designer. Her attention to detail is exquisite. The team work is so well orchestrated so all work is finished promptly. Her ability to authenticate the necessary product for the job at hand is executed to the 'nth' degree so everything comes together just as anticipated. Very positive experience all around with a finished product that is certainly 'high end'. LOVE my brick work ! Am looking forward to using her company on many future projects.

Motawi Tileworks

We used Motawi field and polychrome tiles in two kitchen backsplashes, and polychrome tiles decoratively in the tilework in a half bath. Motawi was extremely easy to work with and very patient with our requests. The tile is handmade to order so it is important to allow lead time. The price for the field tiles was a bit daunting but you get tiles selected to match to your criteria as to pattern, darkness of glazing, and tile-to-tile variation, and they even send you a few extra tiles! For my relatively small kitchen backsplashes, darker-towards-the-edges glazing of each tile adds subtle interest. We created "borders' using half-height tiles offset by half a tile width to avoid the "busy-ness" from using border tiles of a contrasting color. The triptych above the stove mimics the view behind the condo which is visible from the kitchen. Seven years after the renovation the tilework still gives me daily pleasure - absolutely worth the cost! For the bathroom, we used Motawi polychrome tiles placed as accents set among typical commercially-available field tile (to save money). We debated using more polychrome tile accents in both the bathroom and the kitchen, but in the end opted for simplicity, which was the right decision. Hubbardton Forge fixtures complement the tiles. The attached snapshots are poorly lit and do not do the tilework justice, but they give a rough idea of the project.
