5 Kitchen Island Features Worth Considering
A kitchen island offers a lot of obvious benefits, like more countertop space, extra seating and additional storage. But there are many not-so-common island features that can really improve the look and feel of a kitchen. Here are five worth considering.

The small fridge is a fantastic idea for guests and family, while cooking and work is happening in the kitchen.
I have a PIE shaped island with a distressed black walnut top ( read major splurge ), so people DO have a more intimate experience eating at the bar. It provides so much storage all around it and keeps non cooks 'at bay.'lol. Wish I could send a photo but it says my iPhone photo is the wrong size.
As a Realtor® I've really enjoyed this website! No. 4 is my favorite, the curved seating side, but would love to have added the piece of furniture at one end (great idea!) and the small fridge at the other end (another great idea!), if there's room for both. The green-colored cabinets is a favorite color of mine but too much green -- I would use cream-colored cabinets for the top.
Curved islands are a nice option. They invite people into the kitchen instead of a hard straight edge. If the kitchen has the room for a deeper island I like to put 12" deep cabinets on the back side for extra storage for items not used that often. It keeps those items out of the way and makes your main cabinets less crowded.

Gorgeous! I love it.
Plans to incorporate the drink fridge in the island is an idea we are going to incorporate with our current home remodeling. Interesting about the curved island as we went from curved to straight in our last kitchen remodel which was 8 years ago!
